The National Institute of Psychology, established in 1976, was given the
status of a Center of Excellence in 1983. The Institute offers M.Sc.
M.Phil. And Ph.D. programs, besides special training courses. The
Institute has focused its research on educational and social problems and
its research is oriented towards understanding the existing social
situation and suggesting recommendations for the solution of the problems.
The institute also publishes monographs, books, and periodicals.
The institute has
been named Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Institute on the name of the famous Pakistan
Psychology professor. The Syndicate approved the establishment of this
institute in 1996. It is envisaged that teaching, training and research
programs will be initiated in environmental science from 1977. It is
proposed that the institute will also offer diploma in environmental
sciences in the near future. |
